From it's founding in 1869, the University of
Nebraska has been an inspiration to all Nebraskans. Even as Nebraskans
move away from the Cornhusker State, they can't help but feel a sense of Home
when they think of the University or hear news of one of its wonderful
departments. As everyone who has lived or visited here knows, there is one thing
that rings true -
THERE IS NO PLACE LIKE NEBRASKA!!
The Colleges of UNL:
Founded in 1874, the University of
Nebraska Alumni Association recently celebrated its 125th Anniversary. Much has
changed since the first five NU graduates established the "Associate Alumni of
the College of Literature, Science and Art," but the association's mission
remains as clear today as it was when its founders identified it as being ". . .
the advancement of the interests of the University, whose memories and benefits
they wish to perpetuate."

The University's athletic program participates in the Big XII
Conference. The participating sports include football, volleyball,
baseball, softball, basketball, wrestling, soccer, golf and track & field
just to name a few.
